
Governor Nasir Idris has approved the release of N267 million for the payment of tuition fees for 100 Kebbi State indigenes who are students at universities in India.
A statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Mr Yahaya Sarki noted that the state Commissioner for Higher Education, Hon Isah Abubakar Tunga disclosed this during a press conference in Birnin Kebbi on Friday.
He was represented by the Acting Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Hussaini Tata.
The Commissioner noted that the Comrade Nasir Idris administration has continued to champion academic and moral excellence in tertiary institutions in the state, an achievement he described as unprecedented in the history of Kebbi state.
