Gov Idris Attends Wedding Of Late Dan Tilla’s Daughters In Jega
Kebbi State governor, Comrade Nasir Idris, the Kauran Gwandu, joined friends and well-wishers to attend the wedding Fatiha of the daughters of late Mohammad Dantilla in Jega on Saturday.
Governor Idris stood as Waliy (Guardian) for Fatima Mohammad Dantilla Jega while the groom, Basiru Bala Jega paid two hundred and fifty thousand naira (₦250,000) as dowry.
Other couples, who were joined as husbands and wives were Salman Ahmed Manzo and Aisha Abubakar Dantilla, Salihu Abubakar Argungu and Alhansa’u Hali Maigoro as well as Atiku Abdulkarim and Ubaida Abbas
Each of the marriages was sealed after the payment of three hundred thousand naira ₦300,000 as dowry by the respective grooms.
In his short sermon, Imam Yushau Jega urged the couples to uphold the fear of Allah in their marital lives and adhere to the teachings of Noble Prophet Muhammad, SAW.
A statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Mr Yahaya Sarki, noted that the Kauran Gwandu also on the same day paid a condolence visit to the Director of Health, Birnin Kebbi Local Government, Alhaji Mohammad Bello Orji, on the death of his mother, Hajiya Hadiza Hajo.
During the condolence visit at Wala Mosque, Birnin Kebbi, the governor prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased woman while asking Allah to grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
Special prayers were held for the deceased woman by the Commissioner for Religious Affairs, Arc. Sani Aliyu.
