Gov Idris Discloses Plans To Distribute 200 Truckloads Of Grains To Kebbi Citizens For Free
Kebbi state governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, the Kauran Gwandu, has disclosed that his administration will soon distribute two hundred truckloads of grains to the people of the state for free.
This, he noted, is aimed at significantly reducing economic hardship in the state
A statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Mr Yahaya Sarki noted that he made this disclosure at the Haliru Abdu Stadium, Birnin Kebbi on Thursday while addressing hundreds of vigilantes during the launch of an Appeal Fund by the Vigilance Group .
Comrade, Dr. Nasir Idris also submitted that his administration is aware of the present economic situation nationwide and would do everything possible to provide succour to residents of the state.
He explained that the assorted grains were not gotten from the Federal Government but procured by the Kebbi state Government for distribution to the people.
He assured the people of the state that his administration would continue to touch their lives positively in all sectors of the economy.
”What you have seen is just the beginning, we will never be deterred by nay sayers neither be distracted by what they write against us.
We will continue to transform our state capital, Birnin Kebbi like any modern state capital, while we will also do more for Argungu, Yauri,Zuru and all other local Governments in the state’ he said.
The Kauran Gwandu also announced that his administration has purchased solar- and CNG water pumping machines that are now being distributed to farmers for free.
This invaluable gesture of goodwill is to according to him encourage more people to go back to the farm, to produce more food and ensure food security.
On security, Governor Nasir Idris lauded the vigilante members for complementing the efforts of conventional security agencies in the state to secure lives and property of the citizenry.
He promised to render sustained material and financial supports to the security outfit.
‘We will get you more tactical gadgets and additional operational motorcycles for effective performance’ he said.
The improved security in Zuru and Yauri has according to the governor facilitated the return of farmers to their farms, which led to increased food production in those areas that were hitherto abandoned as a result of insecurity.
He also announced the donation of N50 million to the State vigilante Group of Nigeria to bolster their routine activities.
The Kauran Gwandu also used the opportunity to reply critics and he submitted that due process was followed in respect of the vehicles purchased for the state lawmakers and Commissioners while adding that his administration had earlier bought vehicles for the security agencies in the state.
Earlier, the State Commandant of Vigilante Group, Sanusi Ibrahim Geza, had expressed appreciation to the governor for his continued magnanimity to the security group- Team@orientactualmags.com
