Gov Idris, Gov Aliyu, Other Dignitaries Attend Wedding Of PWA Chairman’s Daughter In Birnin Kebbi
Kebbi State governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris (Kauran Gwandu), Governor Ahmad Aliyu of Sokoto State, and other dignitaries attended the wedding fatiha of Zainab Faruq, daughter of the Executive Chairman, Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Alhaji Faruq Aliyu Yaro (Enabo) in Birni Kebbi on Saturday.
Governor Nasir’s Special Adviser on Media, Mr Yahaya Sarki noted in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com that the wedding ceremony was held at the residence of Alhaji Faruq Aliyu Yaro in NEPA GRA, Birnin Kebbi.
Governor Nasir Idris stood as the Waliy (Guardian) of the bride, while former governor of the old Sokoto State, Yahaya Abdulkarim, Sarkin Rafin Sokoto, represented the groom, Ayuba Hassan Kangiwa. The marriage was solemnized following the payment of N200,000 as dowry.
The sermon (Khutbah) was delivered by Liman Muhammadu Wala, Imam of Wala Jumu’a Mosque, Birnin Kebbi, in line with Islamic jurisprudence.
The National Chairman of the Izala Movement, Sheikh Bala Lau, offered prayers for the couple, the nation’s leaders, and peace and prosperity of the country.
The wedding ceremony was attended by prominent figures, including former Kebbi State governor, Senator Muhammadu Adamu Alieru, Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Alhaji Atiku Bagudu; Minister of State for Humanitarian Affairs, Dr. Tanko Yusuf Sununu; former Kebbi State governor, Sa’idu Dakingari; Speaker of Kebbi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Muhammad Usman Zuru; APC National Organizing Secretary, Suleiman Muhammad Argungu; Kebbi State APC Chairman, Abubakar Muhammad Kana; and the Secretary to the Kebbi State Government (SSG), Yakubu Bala Tafida.
Also present were members of the National and State Assemblies, Commissioners, and thousands of well-wishers.
Two former Chairmen of the National Hajj Commission, Alhaji Jalal Arabi and Barrister Muktar, were also in attendance while Governor Nasir Idris atttended three other weddings in Birnin Kebbi on the same day.
At Kafar Kola, he gave out Hawwa’u Abubakar Hassan Nayaya, daughter of Alhaji Abubakar Nayaya, in marriage, to Muhammadu Nuruddeen after the payment of N150,000 as dowry.
Ibrahim A. Zaki stood as the Wakil (representative) of the groom, while Mallam Mainasara delivered the Khutbah.
Special prayers were offered for the success of the marriage, the protection of Governor Nasir Idris, and prosperity of the nation.
Thereafter, the two governors proceeded to Masallacin Takalau, where they solemnized two other weddings.
Shema’u Inuwa married Rilwanu, while Maryam Nasir wedded Muhammad Munir, after the payment of N150,000 as dowry each.
Senator Muhammadu Adamu Aliero, served as Waliy (Guardian) for both brides, while Mallam Yahaya AbdUlkarim, represented the grooms.
