Gov Idris Makes Inspection Visit To ‘State Secretariat’ Project, Commends Local Contractors For Their Exceptional Performance

Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has lauded local contractors in the state for their exceptional performance in delivering key infrastructure projects.
A statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Mr. Yahaya Sarki noted that Idris said this on Wednesday when he made an unscheduled inspection visit to the Ultra-Modern State Secretariat project in Birnin Kebbi, the state capital.
Governor Idris expressed delight that the contractors have adhered to the project specifications and also ensured its timely completion.
‘Look at my face; you can see happiness all over me. Honestly, I am the happiest person now. The contractors worked according to the agreed specifications and even completed the project ahead of schedule’ the governor told reporters.
He noted that this accomplishment was a testament to the capability of indigenous contractors, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to engaging local expertise in future projects.
‘I want to assure our local contractors that we will continue to engage them so that they can further demonstrate their expertise’ Governor Idris said.
The governor also assured that the State Secretariat project would be completed before the end of the year adding that ‘plans are underway to invite President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to Kebbi State to inaugurate the project’.
‘You can see that they are just putting the finishing touches. By the grace of God, once it is completed, we will formally invite Mr. President. I have already discussed this with him’ he said.
The governor attributed his resolve to complete the long-abandoned project to his background as a former unionist and labor leader while emphasizing the importance of the ‘State Secretariat’ project and noting that it will house all ministries and civil servants under one roof for greater efficiency.
Governor Idris added that during President Tinubu’s expected visit, other completed projects, including roads, hospitals, schools, a new motor park, and waterworks, would also be inaugurated.
The governor , who was accompanied by the Head of Service, Alhaji Malami Shekare, the Accountant General, Alhaji Bello Ibrahim Nahaliku; and other government officials, also inspected the ongoing extension of the College of Nursing and Sciences project in Gwadangwaji.
