Gov Idris Pays Sympathy Visit To Kanzanna, Preaches Peace
Kebbi State governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, the Kauran Gwandu, has urged Fulanis and farmers in Kanzanna village, Bunza Local Government, to embrace peace and live harmoniously.
Recall that a recent clash in the town had resulted in the loss of lives and property.
A statement issued in Birnin Kebbi and made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Mr Yahaya Sarki noted that the Kauran Gwandu said this during his sympathy visit to the community on Sunday, describing his presence as a personal show of love and concern. ‘Everything happens by the will of God’ he submitted while praising local leaders’ efforts to prevent future occurrences.

Governor Idris emphasized that peace is the foundation of progress, warning residents against taking the law into their own hands.
‘There is nothing as precious as peace. Anyone who is aggrieved should always seek redress through the right channels.
Government will not tolerate people taking the law into their own hands for selfish reasons’ he said.
He reminded the people of Bunza that violence is alien to their character and urged both Fulanis and farmers to ‘give peace a chance’ assuring them of continued government support for the victims.
Earlier, Chairman of Bunza LGA, Hon. Zayyanu Shehu, commended the governor for his visit and for making ₦30 million available to the victims.
He noted that the governor had earlier sent the Deputy Governor with relief materials worth ₦20 million. Other prominent Kebbi leaders, including Alhaji Atiku Bagudu and former governor Saidu Dakingari, jointly donated ₦20 million, while Senator Adamu Aliero and Dan Majen Gwandu contributed ₦5 million each.
The LG Chairman further explained that stakeholders had met to resolve the crisis while praising security agencies for their quick response.
