Gov Idris Restates Commitment To Advancing Devt, Progress Of Kebbi As He Turns 60
The Governor of Kebbi State, Comrade (Dr.) Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu turned 60 on Wednesday and he marked the milestone with renewed vigour to sustain the ongoing developmental projects and service to humanity.
Governor Idris, who became another year older on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, expressed deep appreciation for the enormity of goodwill messages from individuals, groups, and notable political institutions.
A statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media Mr Yahaya Sarki on Wednesday noted that the birthday celebrant said this shortly after receiving a birthday gift from the ‘Kaura 4 Governor’ K4G, group, at the Government House, Birnin Kebbi.
The governor thanked the Almighty Allah for granting him the Mercy of celebrating diamond jubilee.
‘I thank Almighty Allah for sparing my life to witness my 60th birthday. It is a rare privilege, people have come from far and near, within and outside Kebbi State, to celebrate with me. I am truly joyful’ he said.
Governor Idris acknowledged and appreciated the Nigeria Governors’ Forum and the Progressive Governors’ Forum (APC Governors’ Forum) for their kind birthday wishes.
He also used the occasion to reaffirm his unwavering dedication to the progress and transformation of Kebbi State.
‘As Allah has granted me 60 years, I pray He gives me more years in good health to continue to uplift the wellbeing of our people’ the governor added.
The Kaura 4 Governor association, led by its Chairman, Hon. Sanusi Muhammad Zagga, presented a large portrait to the governor at the short ceremony.
The group praised Governor Idris for his developmental strides, especially his commitment to youth employment and empowerment in various sectors.
Special prayers were offered for the governor, Kebbi State and Nigeria, for longevity, good health, prosperity, and Divine Protection.
Governor Idris expressed gratitude to members of the association for their loyalty and support, reaffirming the focus of his administration on socioeconomic growth of Kebbi.
He also acknowledged the invaluable contribution of youths and women to good governance, saying that his administration has placed premium on even development in both urban centres and rural areas.
