Gov Nasir Idris: A Steadfast Guardian of Kebbi Pilgrims On Their Blessed Spiritual Journey-Yahaya Sarki

Leadership is all about caring for the needs of the people, making them happy, and utilizing their resources prudently in areas where it matters most.

Kebbi State is fortunate to have a leader in the person of Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, whose ultimate priority is his people. This is evident in his commitment to expending both human and material resources through the State Pilgrims Welfare Agency under hardworking Alhaji Faruk Musa Yaro’s capable and innovative leadership.

The governor has provided virtually all the essential needs that the pilgrims from the state require to perform the Hajj with relative ease.

Gov. Idris has invested significant human and financial resources to improve the welfare of Kebbi pilgrims. 

These include free feeding, accommodation, additional Ihram clothing for both male and female pilgrims, payment for Hadya (sacrificial animals), and the provision of travel allowances.

All of these are offered completely free to the pilgrims.

It is worth noting that pilgrims from other states did not receive such a generous support from their governors, unlike those from Kebbi, who have continued to benefit from the compassion and benevolence of Dr. Nasir Idris. As a result, many now consider the Kebbi State pilgrims’ contingent the best in Nigeria in terms of welfare, care, and overall arrangements, courtesy of Gov. Nasir Idris.
