Gov Nasir Idris Promises Kebbi Workers ‘Robust’ Welfare Package

Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi state submitted on Tuesday that his administration has myriads of good packages for civil servants in the state.

This, he noted, is aimed at ensuring the welfare of civil servants towards achieving optimal performance.
A statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Mr Yahaya Sarki noted that Idris said this on Tuesday while addressing cashiers and finance clerks in the 21 Local Governments in the state during the 3-day workshop organized for them by the Kebbi state Local Government Service Commission in collaboration with POBICONS Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic, Birnin Kebbi.

Idris reiterated that the welfare of civil servants both serving and retired remains one of the top priorities of his administration.
He said his administration is up to date in the payment of salary, pension, and gratuity and leave grant, the feat which many states in Nigeria could not attain.
‘I don’t owe salary, I don’t owe pension, I don’t owe gratuity including death benefit.
I know in the whole country, you will find it very difficult to have a state like Kebbi state where the welfare of workers is given priority.
This is just the beginning; government is preparing a lot of packages for the civil servants’ he added.
The governor also enumerated some major achievements recorded by his administration in agriculture, education, health and urban development while adding that he is committed to giving the state capital, Birnin Kebbi the desired transformation of a modern city.
Governor Idris also commended the Chairman of Kebbi state Local Government Service Commission, Alhaji Mansur Shehu and his Commissioners for organizing the workshop.
Giving his speech, Alhaji Mansur Shehu said 189 participants drawn from the 21 LGAs are participating in the workshop which was organized to empower them with requisite skills in various aspects of their work in order to be in tune with modern methodology-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
