Gov Oborevwori Congratulates Michael Ikeogwu On His Emergence As NUJ NEC Member

The governor of Delta state, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori has felicitated the immediate past Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) in the state, Comrade Michael Ikeogwu, on his emergence as member of the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the Union.

Ikeogwu’s appointment as National Ex-Officio of the Union was contained in a letter signed by the National Secretary, Comrade Shuaibu Usman Leman, on Friday, October 20.
In a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, the governor described Ikeogwu’s appointment as well-deserved, considering his outstanding contribution to the journalism profession in Delta state and Nigeria as a whole.
He commended the NUJ President for finding Ikeogwu, an illustrious son of Delta, worthy of the appointment

Comrade Ikeogwu, a professional journalist with many years of experience, has made his mark in the journalism practice in the state and beyond.
As a two-term Chairman of the State Council, he contributed immensely to the fortunes of journalists in the state, through his many accomplishments.
I thank the National President of the Union, Comrade Chris Isiguzo, for finding you worthy to be appointed.
