Gov Oyetola Presents Staff Of Office To New Olu of Awolowo , Urges Citizens To Sustain Trajectory Of Peace, Development
Governor Adegboyega Oyetola of Osun State on Friday presented the Staff of Office and Instrument of Appointment to the new Olu of Awolowo town, Oba Olayemi Yekini Omisore while emphasizing the need for the citizens and residents of the state to sustain the trajectory of peace and development that has defined, distinguished and dignified the state and has made it get recognized as the most peaceful in the country.
The Awolowo throne had become vacant following the passing of Oba David Olajide Omisore on January 4 2022.
Presenting the Staff of Office and Instrument of Appointment to the new Awolowo monarch, Governor Oyetola said his administration would not relent in sustaining the peace, progress and development of the state.
The governor’s media office in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com noted that he also promised that his administration would continue to judiciously utilize the available meagre resources to spread dividends of democracy to the nooks and crannies of the state.
‘I enjoin you all to continue on this trajectory of peace and development that has made you proud Omoluabi family of the Osun people.
I am, therefore, appealing to you all and the people of this Local Government to shun acts of violence and continue to sustain the existing peace.
All the citizens of this town at home and abroad must join hands with our new Kabiyesi for the progress, unity and peace the overall development of Awolowo town.
You must also work together to develop and sustain the love, unity and cultural heritage that had made Awolowo town tick as you bask in the euphoria of your new Kabiyesi’s ascension to the throne.
I wish to state that our Government will not relent in sustaining the peace, progress and development of our dear state.
