Gov Umar Bago Dissolves Niger Electoral Commission
Governor Umar Bago of Niger state has dissolved the state Independent Electoral Commission.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the governor did this on Sunday through a statement issued in Minna by Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Abubakar Usman.
The dissolution, the statement noted, was with effect from May 29.
‘Members of the commission are directed to hand over all property of the state government in their possession to the most senior Director with immediate effect’ the statement stated.
It will be recalled that the Niger state House of Assembly had on September 27, 2022, called for the removal of Alhaji Baba Aminu as Chairman of NSIEC citing alleged misconduct- Team@orientactualmags.com
