Governor Idris Receives Over 100 PDP Defectors Into APC In Birni Kebbi

Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi state has received over 100 members of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP and some major stakeholders in the party into the APC.

A statement  made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Mr. Yahaya Sarki noted that prominent among those who decamped  to APC on Friday are Alhaji Faruku Ajala, Alhaji Bala Gradee, Hon. Garba Hassan Wara, Hon. Bello Shehu Kasaura, Alhaji Umar Yaro Gari and Hon. Umaru Kambaza 

The governor ,who expressed happiness about the development while receiving the decampees at  the Government House, Birnin Kebbi, assured them of equal opportunity and treatment.

 He also assured them of justice and fairness in every way. 

Idris said his administration is willing to work harmoniously to ensure delivery of quality service to the people as well as maintain accountability in its dealings.

‘You are living witnesses to the ongoing execution of projects across the state. Iam always ready to join hands ‘Insha- Allah’ with all the stakeholders to make Kebbi great’ he said.

Governor Idris added that the recent defections to APC would surely add more impetus to the party, particularly with the local government elections that is  around the corner.

‘Be committed to the ideals and policies of the APC party ‘ he said.

The state APC Chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Kana-Zuru, who noted that he  was also happy  about the development, assured the new members of fair treatment in  their new party.

He commended  the decampees for what he described as ‘a wise decision’, saying, ‘We are not going to leave you behind, the incumbent administration is doing a lot to better the lives of people of the state as you are aware .

APC remains a party for all, we will do justice  to all in line with principles of fair play, our governor has touched the lives of the people irrespective of party affiliation’ he said .

 Former Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works ,, who is   one of the PDP stakeholders in Bunza Local Government , Hon. Sani Bunza ,spoke on behalf of the decampees.

He  said they took the good decision in the interest of their  people and the state in general. 

‘The incumbent administration has brought a lot of changes in the state .

This administration under His Excellency, Comrade Dr.Nasir Idris’ leadership  must be commended for the various achievements recorded in the state in one year’.

We defected to APC from PDP because of the changes and infrastructural development in the state .
