Governor Nasir Idris Inducted As ANAN Fellow In Birnin Kebbi
The governor of Kebbi state, Comrade, Dr. Nasir Idris has been formally inducted as fellow of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria, ANAN.
He was decorated with the insignia of FCNA by the National President of ANAN and Chairman of the Council, Dr. James Ekerare Neminebor, during the opening ceremony of the Mandatory Continuing Professional Development Programme, MCPD held by the association in Birnin Kebbi on Tuesday.
Mr. Yahaya Sarki, who is the governor’s Special Adviser on Media, noted in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com that Dr. James Neminebor told the gathering that Comrade Nasir Idris deserved the fellowship in recognition of his commendable role as excellent manager of financial and human resources, in addition to appointing several fellows of ANAN as members of his cabinet which had facilitated ongoing rural-urban transformation of the state .
The ANAN President was also full of praises for Governor Kauran Gwandu for providing the necessary material and financial supports towards the successful hosting of the ANAN training programme.
Dr. James Neminebor also commended Governor Ahmad Aliyu of Sokoto state, who attended the event for the warm reception given to the ANAN delegation during their stopover in Sokoto on their way to Birnin Kebbi.
Addressing the participants, Governor Nasir Idris thanked ANAN for the honour done to him and informed them that he has approved the provision of operational vehicle for the association while also directing the state Ministry of Lands and Housing to handle the issue of office accommodation.
Comrade Kauran Gwandu listed the achievements of his administration to include development of infrastructure, education, agriculture, healthcare, and improvement of the wellbeing of the people.
He also talked about what he has done in respect of enhancing the welfare of workers, saying his administration has been regular when it comes to payment of salaries, gratuity, pension and leave grant.
Sokoto state governor, Dr. Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto, also delivered a speech at the event.
Kebbi state deputy governor, former Senator Umar Abubakar Tafida, Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Yakubu Bala Tafida and the Head of Service, Alhaji Safiyanu Garba Bena, Commissioners and Special Advisers were among dignitaries that attended the event-Team@orientactualmags.com
