Govt Terrorizing Citizens While Battling Against Terrorism-Peter Obi

Former governor of Anambra State, Mr Peter Obi on Tuesday reacted to the incident that happened at the residence of former APC National Chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun in Edo State earlier in the day and he has accused the government of terrorizing the citizens.

Recall that there was an assassination attempt on leaders of the opposition party, African Democratic Congress (ADC) including the former LP presidential candidate on Tuesday as Chief Oyegun had the gates of his residence in Benin city and vehicles riddled with bullets after an attack was launched by unknown gunmen.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Mr Peter Obi and other opposition leaders had attended the defection ceremony of Olumide Akpata before the entire concourse left for Chief Oyegun’s residence.

Akpata, a former president of the Nigeria Bar Association was the LP guber candidate in the 2024 Edo State governorship election. He formally joined ADC on Tuesday.

Mr Peter Obi, in a viral video, lamented that there has been a decline in the state of democracy in the country.

‘This is where our democracy has reached. A former governor, and you can see what happened in front of his house, where hoodlums came shooting.

I assure you this cannot continue; we have a country, and we are a part of it.
