Hawawu Gbadamosi, Olofa Of Offa’s Mother, Dies At 94…Gov Abdulrazaq, Nurudeen Adeyemi, ODU Northwest Offer Condolences
Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State led tributes to Alhaja Hawawu Awele Gbadamosi, the mother of Olofa of Offa, Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi Esuwoye II on Saturday.
Alhaja Hawawu Awele Gbadamosi died on Saturday at the age of 94.
‘Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq sends his condolences to His Royal Majesty the Olofa of Offa Kingdom, Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi Esuwoye II on the passing of his darling mother, Alhaja Hawawu Awele Gbadamosi’ a Government House Ilorin statement said on Saturday night.
The statement also noted that the ‘queen mother’ lived a fulfilling life, and was a ‘major chapter in the community’s story’.
‘Governor AbdulRazaq conveys the condolences of the people and government of the state to His Royal Majesty and the people of Offa on this development.
Our heartfelt sympathies and prayers are with His Royal Majesty at this difficult moment. We urge His Royal Majesty to be comforted by the rare grace of Allaah on Alhaja for a fulfilling life, the joy of being a major chapter in the community’s story, and the happiness of seeing his children become success stories and also outliving her.
We ask Allaah to ease her account, widen and lighten up her grave, and grant her al-jannah Firdaus’ the statement added.
Engineer Nurudeen Adeyemi Balogun, who represents North Central on the Board of TETFUND, has also prayed for the repose of the soul of Alhaja Hawawu Awele Gbadamosi.
Chief Adeyemi, an aerospoace engineer, in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com noted that the late ‘Queen Mother’ will be remembered and missed by those who enjoyed her ‘elderly guidance and advices, especially our King’.

At 94, Mama has lived to the fulfillment of Allah’s uncommon grace and blessings. With peaceful and accommodating attitude, Alhaja has lived to witness continued growth and development of her children, and grandchildren with many milestones achievements recorded by them. Mama is loved by all and sundry. Truly Mama will be remembered and missed by those who enjoyed her elderly guidance and advices, especially our King.
We identify with the Imperial Majesty, Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi Esuwoye II, the ruling families in Offa land, all members of Olofa-In-Council, and the people of Offa Kingdom. God will be with us.
We pray that Almighty Allah will ease Mama’s journey to paradise, forgive her shortcomings and make her a dweller of the best Aljanah’ he added.
Offa Descendants‘ Union (ODU), Northwest zone, has also condoled Olofa of Offa, Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi Esuwoye II on the passing of his mother.
The ODU Northwest zone under Alhaji Nura Tunde Yahaya’s leadership in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com noted that the deceased ‘Queen Mother’ was a caring mother and a mother figure to younger generations in terms of care and love.
Alhaji Yahaya asked Allah to grant Alhaja Hawau Aljannah Firdaus while urging the family she has left behind to take solace in the fact that she lived a good life.
