Kwara state APC Campaign Council on Friday denied allegations that Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq was planning to make President Muhammadu Buhari preside over the inauguration ceremony of what the state PDP called ‘rush projects’ during his planned visit to the state next week.
Kwara state PDP Campaign Council had during the press conference held earlier in the day , alleged that a meeting was convened by Governor Abdulrazaq and his inner circle of advisers where a decision was taken ‘to deceitfully get President Buhari to inaugurate uncompleted projects during his visit to Ilorin on the 17th of January, 2023 for the All Progressives Congress (APC), presidential campaign rally’.
Spokesperson for the state APC Campaign Council, Mrs Florence Oyeyemi in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com said President Muhammadu Buhari will be visiting the state to inaugurate some legacy projects executed by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq next month.
She clarified that President Buhari will only visit the state on Tuesday to preside over presidential campaign kickoff in Kwara State, while a different date will be announced for grand inauguration of impactful projects including the largest Intensive Care Unit facility in the North Central which the statement called the first functional ICU facility in the state.
‘The PDP is understandably jittery because it has exhausted its arsenals of empty catch phrases and propaganda that have failed to inspire the electors as a result of its horrible records in the state’ she said.
‘The PDP and its leaders are jittery and totally bereft of ideas, knowing they have nothing meaningful to campaign against a governor that has not only cleaned up their mess like President Buhari did in 2015, but has also gone ahead to place Kwara State on the national map as one of the most progressive states in the country in Human Capital Development Indices (HCDIs), especially provision of healthcare, basic education, gender inclusion, youth empowerment, rural urban development, and support for the vulnerable and the elderly’ the statement added.
