Hotelier Collapses, Dies During Thanksgiving Service Held To Mark His Wife’s 60th Birthday In Lagos
Otunba Kunle Akinyele, who owns the popular Ologbo Nla Hotel, Isheri, Idimu, Lagos State, has collapsed and died while attending the thanksgiving service held to mark his wife’s 60th birthday.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that a digital creator, Ayoade Ojeniyi disclosed this in a Facebook post noting that the event was held in Lagos on Saturday.
The thanksgiving service was held in honour of the deceased hotelier’s wife, Deaconess Catherine Adejoke Akinyele, at the Christ Apostolic Church, Oke-Iyanu, Odemuyiwa District Headquarters, Egbeda, Lagos.
If it were not for the unfortunate and sad development, the birthday reception would have been held at Noble Castle Events Centre , Igando the same day.
The facebook post also noted that people had begun to arrive at Noble Castle Events Centre from 10 am as the birthday reception was to begin at 2 pm.
The birthday celebrant, her husband, their children, and guests had gone to church for thanksgiving service and were expected to leave for the reception venue, sadly, this never happened.
‘Variety of foods were set, decoration, cocktail, emu oguro, and many more’ the Facebook user submitted while adding that the live band had already arrived there with about 25 speakers.
The Facebook user also said the Master of Ceremony had spoken with Akinyele at about 1:23 pm, while he died shortly after the phone conversation.
The event was cancelled, and guests were seen leaving the venue in disbelief.
‘Is this how people die? I can’t possibly ask for the balance for the job I did’ the Facebook user lamented in the post-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
