‘Hypnotized’ Kogi Varsity Student Found Wandering Ilorin Streets
19-year-old Fauziyah Mohammed, who is a student at the Department of English Education, Kogi State University, Ayingba, was found wandering around in Ilorin during the weekend.
Apparently hypnotized, Fauziyah, who was reportedly found wandering alone naked, only regained consciousness in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital
Fauziyah, a 400-level student, told reporters at the headquarters of the state command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, in Ilorin on Monday, that she could not explain what happened to her.
The incoherent young varsity student noted that the last thing she remembered was being on campus in Ayingba, and having her book slipped out of her hands which she had wanted to pick up.
It was therefore surprising that she has found herself in Ilorin.
The state Commandant of the NSCDC, Garba Mohammed, disclosed that Fauziyah was found wandering in Ajegunle Isale, Egbejila , Ilorin, on November 30, 2024, and was handed over to a security officer, DSO Joel Adebola Afolayan, by members of the community.
‘Fauziyah told Joel that she did not know how she got to Kwara State from Kogi State.
The DSO however got in touch with Fauziyah’s family by phone and Malam Salihu Aliu, who is her uncle, was delegated by the family to act on their behalf here in Ilorin’ the commandant said.
He also disclosed that Fauziyah would be leaving Ilorin for Kogi State tomorrow while acknowledging the commendable role played by Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq.
‘We, as a command, have tried to comfort her, provide clothes for her as well as told the governor about her plight.
Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has promised to assist us with fuel to return her to Kogi tomorrow’ he said-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
