I Remain A Member Of APC, Defection Not ‘Under Consideration’ -Fayemi
Former Minister for Solid Minerals, and a one-time governor of Ekiti State, Dr Kayode Fayemi, has described media reports claiming that he has defected from the All Progressives Congress to SDP as untrue.
Dr Fayemi in an X com post on Monday asserted that he remains a committed member of APC.
‘My attention has been drawn to a story circulating on several online platforms regarding my defection from the All Progressives Congress.
As I have had cause to state in the past, I am a card-carrying foundation member of the APC, and this position has not changed’ he wrote.
Talking about his recent advocacy for greater internal democracy and inclusivity within the APC which may have fueled the defection rumours ,Fayemi noted that the party still has enough time to resolve its internal disputes.
