The 2023 annual conference of the Institute of Capital Market Registrars , ICMR, will hold in Lagos state next month and the abundant opportunities in the capital market with the potential to help the nation regain its economic momentum would take centre stage.
President and Chairman of Council , ICMR, Mr. Oluseyi Owoturo in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com on Friday noted that an effective utilization of Nigeria’s capital market can help the nation to regain its economic momentum.
‘The present economic realities call for effective utilization of the capital market for enhanced growth and development’ Owoturo also submitted while adding that the conference would bring to the surface the secrets of navigating uncertainties in the Nigerian economy and how innovative technology has transformed and expanded the capital markets while redefining the future.
The statement added that the ICMR 2023 annual conference will hold at the Ballroom, Lagos Oriental Hotel, 3 , Lekki Road , Victoria Island on November 4, 2023 .
Owoturo listed those who will give keynote speeches to include former Group Executive Director of Access Bank Plc , who is the current President of FinTechNGR, Ade Bajomo, Executive Commissioner Operations, Securities & Exchange Commission, Dayo Obisan; and the Director, Institute of Capital Market Studies, Nasarawa State University, Prof. Uche Uwaleke.
‘Bajomo will speak on the theme of the conference ‘Navigating Nigeria’s economic realities: The transformative power of technology in the capital market’, Obisan will speak on ‘empowering market participants through education and capacity building; while Uwaleke will focus on ‘Innovation and resilience: navigating uncertain transformations for sustainable business growth’.
Other speakers are Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, CSCS Plc, Haruna Jalo-Waziri, who will speak on ‘Harnessing fintech innovation for inclusive capital market: Empowering individuals through financial access and participation’ he said.
