Ifon-Ilobu Communal Violence: Gov Adeleke Directs Increased Security Presence, Urges Peace

Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has directed immediate increased security presence in Ifon and Ilobu communities following renewed communal violence while urging the peace committee to revive the peace deal.
A statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by the governor’s spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed noted that the state Chief Executive has directed the joint security task force to step in immediately and ensure a return to normalcy.
The governor, who decried the politicization of the crisis, tasked the task force with going after the ring leaders and ensuring that they face the full wrath of the law.
He further urged the peace committee to ensure immediate cessation of hostility to protect lives and property.
The governor, who lamented the repeated breach of peace deals by the warring communities, warned that his administration will take stringent action on the buffer zone between the two communities unless hostility stops immediately.
The statement added that Governor Adeleke ‘is currently holding security and political engagements to find a lasting solution to the crisis that predates his administration’-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
