Community leaders and stakeholders in Igbaja , Ifelodun local government, have commended the Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq administration for taking steps to make the strategic and important Town hall Road in the town suitable for use by motorists, this, they noted, will ease things for those who ply the road in question, and they have also submitted that ‘history will remember the governor’.
The community leaders told Team@orientactualmags.com that the road was no longer passable by vehicles and the state government awarding the important road project was therefore good news and a welcome development.
‘I am the NURTW chairman in Igbaja and also an indigene of the town in question. We thank our governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for doing the needful to make the road suitable for use by motorists.
People had abandoned this route and the few ones that had plied it faced a lot of difficulties. We thank the governor for the good work. May God continue to be with his administration’ Mr Sunday Adedayo said.
‘This is Igbaja Town hall road project. It is along this road that the magistrate court, high court and the upper area court are situated. Also, the new Unilorin Teaching Hospital Primary Healthcare Center is along this road.
In essence, this is a very important road for us because all the government establishments I have mentioned are located along this road. Secondly, it serves as a shortcut from Gegele to Iyakoko if a road users does not want to ply the roads within Igbaja town. Giving this road a facelift has brought a smile to our faces because it was not passable for motorists.
Now that the governor has helped us to rehabilitate the road, we give thanks to God that it is now passable. Just yesterday , asphalting of the road began, we have seen the difference in it. Therefore, we use this medium to appreciate the efforts of our governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq. It was a surprise for me when the governor came here and promised to give the road a facelift, and here it is today. Not only that, the road project also features a drainage system’ a community leader, Elder Olaitan Oyin-Zubair also submitted.
The Vice President of Igbaja Progressive Union, Mr Rafiu Demola Yusuf has also described the road project as a welcome development.
‘My name is Rafiu Demola Yusuf. I’m from Idi-Agbon family in Igbaja. I am also the Vice President of IPU. We give gratitude to God Almighty and we are grateful to our governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq. This road was not in a good shape and it links Igbaja to other parts of the state.
The good thing about this road is that it leads to the town hall, the new hospital, eid praying ground, NSCDC office and many other places. This is an important road, it also leads to Iyakoko down to Oke-Ode. More so, it leads to Obin, Ofese, Agbeku. We are very delighted and grateful to the state government, and we pray it doesn’t end here’ he said–Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
