Ignore Media Reports, No Senatorial District Is Occupied By Bandits In Kebbi-Deputy Gov

Kebbi State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Umar Abubakar Tafida, has dismissed media reports claiming that villages in the northern parts of the state are under the control of bandits describing the said media reports as pure imagination of those who published the stories.
He was emphatic that the state government has strengthened security measures across communities in the state to protect lives and property.
A statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com noted that Alhaji Tafida , who made this assertion during the press conference he presided over in Birni Kebbi on Tuesday, recalled that bandits had attacked Mera village in Augie Local Government tragically resulting in the death of 17 heroic youths in the town who had confronted the gunmen, and also inflicted fatal injury on some of them.
‘Following the incident, the State Government, and National Assembly members and ministers from Kebbi State, had provided significant financial support to the victims’ families.
‘ Governor Nasir Idris donated N50 million, Alhaji Bagudu N30 million, federal lawmakers, N10 million, while the Minister of State for Humanitarian Affairs, Dr. Yusuf Tanko Sununu, donated N2.5 million’ he said.
The Deputy Governor further stated that a high powered delegation sent to meet with the Chief of Defence Staff to address the situation also held fruitful discussions with him in order to tackle the menace.
The delegation headed by former Kebbi State governor and Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Alhaji Atiku Bagudu, include Senator Bala Ibn Na’Allah; APC National Organizing Secretary, Suleiman Argungu; and former Commissioner of Justice and Attorney General, Barrister Nasiru Junju.
Alhaji Tafida assured the people of Kebbi State that the government remains committed to protecting their lives and property, urging the citizenry to collaborate with security agencies to bring an end to banditry and other forms of criminality.
