The decision taken by the governor has proved the Governing Council right and the Chairman of the Governing Council, Dr Peter Babalola will definitely savour his vindication.

Recall that the Governing Council had a few days ago announced Professor Jimoh Afolabi’s suspension as Provost of the institution noting that this was done after forwarding supporting and factual details that backed their decision to Governor Ademola Adeleke, pending the conclusion of investigation into the allegations leveled against him.

The council had also noted that the decision to suspend Jimoh Afolabi followed due process while accusing him of concealment of official documents, lack of accountability and misappropriation of funds.
He was also accused of misleading the public with sensational news containing lies and blackmail against the government , the governing council, among others.
Recall also that the governor had set up an Investigative Committee headed by Alhaji Kazeem Akinleye, his Chief of Staff, to look into the crisis recorded at the College of Education with respect to the running of the affairs of the institution.
The committee had ordered that status quo ante should be maintained pending the outcome of its investigation and asked the Governing Council and the College’s management team to revert to state of affairs before the eruption of the crisis-Team@orientactualmags.com
