I’ll Not Be A Dictator Or Force People To Give Me Compliments-Gov Fubara

I’ll Not Be A Dictator Or Force People To Give Me Compliments-Gov Fubara

Governor Siminalayi Fubara  of Rivers state has promised that his administration will  continue  to collaborate and  consult with the stakeholders in respect of the running of the affairs of the state   adding that he will never act like a dictator.

He has also promised to handle matters only as a member of the team in charge of the state , prioritize the interests of Rivers state always  and leave a legacy of achievements.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned that a statement issued in Port Harcourt on Tuesday by  Fubara’s Chief Press Secretary , Nelson Chukwudi, noted that the governor said this  during the presentation of the Certificate of Recognition and Staff of Office to the Amanyanabo of Okochiri Kingdom, Ateke Michael Tom at the Government House , Port Harcourt.

‘We are at a crossroads in our state where we all need to stand for what is right. It happens once in a lifetime. So, for now, be one of those people who will be on the course to liberate and free our dear state.

And I know strongly that having the support of a peace-loving Amanyanabo of Okochiri Kingdom, having the support of the wonderful Council of Chiefs, having the support of the great people of Rivers state, we will bring peace in our state.

We will do those things that are right to develop our state. We will continue to consult. We will not act as dictators. We will act as people who know that one day, we will leave, and when we leave, the way we have acted will speak for us’ he said.

The governor’s speech was spiced with innuendos and many must have leapt to conclusions with regard to  the allusions he made to his recent experience. He has also promised that people will not be forced to give him compliments.

‘ We will not force people to talk good about us. Our legacy will be a signature for how we led’ he added.

Fubara  noted  that he acted within the ambit of the law to upgrade the Okochiri throne   in recognition of Ateke’s efforts to promote peace in Okrika, and  the state as a whole while urging him to continue to be fair to everyone.

In his speech, the Commissioner for Chieftaincy and Community Affairs, Charles Amadi, congratulated King Ateke Tom on his elevation while former Minister of Transportation, Chief Abiye Sekibo, thanked Fubara for fulfilling his promise to upgrade  the Okochiri throne, and pledged the support of the  Kirike people for the current  administration in the state-Team@orientactualmags.com  Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
