I’ll Run For Governor In 2027 To ‘Salvage’ Kebbi- Abubakar Malami

An indigene of Kebbi State, who served as Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice during the Muhammadu Buhari administration, Mr Abubakar Malami, has disclosed plans to run for governor in 2027.

 Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Malami, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, who said this during an interview with DCL Hausa on Monday, also expressed confidence in the strength of his political support across the state while promising to tackle insecurity in the Land of Equity.

 ‘INEC guidelines do not permit mobilization yet, but when the time comes, you will see that the people of Kebbi are with us.

I have agreed to contest, and there is no retreat. God willing, we are going to win. We won’t disappoint those who believe in us’ he said.

Submitting that his decision to run for governor was sequel to ‘wide consultations and deep personal reflection’ he added that this is also motivated by the desire to ‘salvage Kebbi State’, restore security, rebuild the agricultural sector and prioritize the welfare of residents.

He also noted that his political ambition is ‘not for personal gain but rather a rescue mission’ and the ‘love for our nation and concern for the hardship that our people are facing daily’.

He lamented that bandit attacks have made many farmers abandon their farmlands thereby severely affecting food production.
