Ilorin 1445 AH Durbar Festival In Pictures
The 1445 AH Durbar was held in Ilorin , the Kwara state capital, on Tuesday.
It is held annually during the eid-li-adha festival, and it usually features the Emir of Ilorin, His Eminence, Alhaji Ibrahim Gambari leading a procession through the capital city while people will take turns to pay homage to him and reaffirm their loyalty.
The Durbar festival is a traditional , cultural, religious and equestrian festival that has been celebrated in the Northern part of the country since the 14th century.
It witnessed a huge procession of men dressed in traditional robes and turbans who rode colourfully dressed horses through the streets of Ilorin.
