Ilorin-Based Cleric Urges Muslims To ‘Renew’ Relationship With Qur’an, Deepen Faith In God

Muslims in the country have been urged to renew their relationship with the Holy Qur’an and also deepen their faith in God as ‘corruption of the heart’ has made people to get far away from their creator.

Alhaji Masud Adam, who is the Imam of Darul Naim Mosque, Ogidi, Ilorin said this in his short sermon during the walimatul Qur’an held for the children of Barrister Mahmud Olatunji Eleranegbe in Adewole area of Ilorin on Sunday.

The Islamic cleric emphasized the need for Muslims to deepen their personal spiritual lives noting that the Holy Qur’an though still remains a very powerful book, but it may not however achieve the desires of those who have become hardened in their sins and have corrupt hearts.

‘The Holy Qur’an is our strength. It will always be our guide, and it will always give us the power to be whatever we want to be. It is sad that corruption of the hearts and sins have made us get far away from God’ Alhaji Mas’ud Adam said.

Ustaz AbdulGafar Salahudeen Almalakin, who is the Mudhir of Darul Solahudeen Litalim Liarabiyah Wadirasatul li islamiya, told Team@orientactualmags.com that walimatul Qur’an was held for Farida and Abdulsalam Eleranegbe after completing the learning process while congratulating them and their parents; Barrister Mahmud Eleranegbe and Alhaja Zarah Eleranegbe.
