The General Hospital, Ilorin, disclosed on Monday that it has begun a 24-hour pharmacy service.
The Press Unit of the Kwara state Hospital Management Board in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com noted that the extension of hours of operation will help to improve pharmacy service delivery at the health facility and allow faster access to life drugs especially in the middle of the night.
‘Recent steps taken by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq in respect of the recruitment of doctors, pharmacists and nurses made this extension of hours of operation at the pharmacy department possible’ the statement quoted the Executive Secretary of the Board as saying.
‘We will continue to work relentlessly towards service delivery improvement regardless of the present challenges posed by the acute shortage and exodus of healthcare workers nationwide’ the statement added- Team@orientactualmags.com
