Governor Nasir Idris stood as waliy (Guardian) for three among the daughters of his younger brothers; Alhaji Umar Idris Buro and Alhaji Shehu Idris as they got married in Birni Kebbi on Friday..
The brides and the grooms were united in holy matrimony at the nikkah ceremony held at the Makerar Gandu Jumuat Mosque, Birnin Kebbi immediately after the Friday prayers which was presided over by the Chief Imam.
‘My name is Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, Gamjin Yauri, Garkuwan Zuru. I have accepted the requests of the representatives (Wakil) of the three suitors seeking for permission to join my daughters with the grooms in marriage on the payment of One Hundred Thousand Naira dowry for each bride’ a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by the governor’s Special Adviser, Mr Yahaya Sarki quoted him to have submitted during the event.
The couples are Alhaji Labaran Habibu Adamu Jega and Nabila Umar Idris, Aisha Shehu Idris and Sanusi Aliyu Zagga and Abdullahi AbdulRahman Yahaya and Nusaiba Shehu Idris.
Similarly, Governor Nasir Idris also served as Hadiza Muhammad Bari’s Waliy as she got married to Faruk Abubakar sequel to the payment of One hundred Thousand Naira dowry in accordance with the Sunnah of the Noble Prophet Muhammad, (SAW)
Islamic Scholars offered prayers beseeching the Almighty Allah to shower His blessings on the new couples and bless them with good offsprings.
