‘ Actually, there is a need to get things done and improve the lives of residents of the estate. For instance we need to take necessary steps with regard to getting roads in the estate fixed.
We will equally work on getting a very standard clinic established here to attend to the health needs of residents and others who may choose to visit the health facility.
Apart from that, we will prioritize the welfare of the people, for instance, the issue of electricity, the issue of water reticulation and others. I will actually adopt the committee system because we have people living in the estate who are experienced and can give us ideas on how to get things done.
They will be in charge and they will be giving us reports. These are some of the things that we feel if we do it, we’ll be able to carry people along and people will be interested in contributing ideas.
There will also be a suggestion box to allow people give us advice, ideas and also let us know their observations.
We will definitely make sure we work towards buying into new ideas and suggestions because our priority will be the development of the estate’ Alhaji Abdulganiyu Oloyin told journalists including Team@orientactualmags.com .
He also said immediate action will be required in respect of fixing water problem and rehabilitating roads in the estate, urging the state government to take necessary steps in this direction.
‘It is not that there is no water, but we discovered there are some issues in the estate that needed to be addressed to ensure smooth flow of water from the tap at every home instead of sinking boreholes. And you know the implications, if everybody should sink borehole, it has a negative implication in the future. So we want to try to avoid that so if the government can come to our aid to help us do something about our water problem, we’ll definitely appreciate that. We also want our roads fixed’ he added.
