In Pictures: President Tinubu Observes Eid Prayer As Nigeria’s First Citizen For The First Time

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Wednesday led dignitaries to the Obalende Eid Praying Ground at Dodan Barracks , Lagos state, for the 1444 AH eid-li-adha prayer.
It was the first time he would be observing eid prayer as president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Tinubu was inaugurated as Nigeria’s 6th executive President on Monday, May 29.
Also at the eid praying ground were Lagos state Deputy Governor, Mr Obafemi Hamzat, the president’s Chief of Staff, Hon Femi Gbajabiamila, National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, and former Lagos state governor and one-time Minister for Works , Mr. Babatunde Fashola.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the Eid-li-adha prayer which was presided over by the Chief Imam of Lagos , Sheikh Sulaiman Oluwatoyin Abu-Nolah, started at 9 a.m.

Talking to journalists, President Bola Tinubu urged Nigerians to maintain faith in God and the country’s potential for peace, stability, and prosperity while also emphasizing importance of unity and cooperation.
He has also urged citizens to shun ethnic and religious rivalries.
‘I thank Almighty Allah for keeping us in good health till today and pray Him to grant us robust health and prosperity. May our sacrifices turn into prosperity. We have to make the sacrifices, and that is clear, we have to.
But Allah will not give you a burden that you cannot carry. He is there for us. We must have faith in the country. Have faith in ourselves, believing that as citizens of this country, we must join hands to build the nation. No religious identity, no tribal identity, let us live with one another in joy and prosperity.
