In Pictures: Prominent Ilorin Indigenes Attend Eid Prayer In Ilorin
Prominent indigenes of Ilorin, Kwara State joined other Muslims across the world to observe the eid-li-adha prayer on Friday.
On the day of Eid al-Adha , 2-rakah Eid prayer is observed after which the ritual sacrifice of a livestock animal is performed, this is done to honour the willingness of Prophet Abraham to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God’s command.
Kwarans attended the eid-li-adha prayer held at the Eid praying ground, new Yidi Road , Ilorin, in large numbers and it was peaceful and hitch-free.
Dignitaries at the eid praying ground include the Emir of Ilorin, His Eminence, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari . former Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Alfa Belgore, former Senate President, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, Rep Muktar Shagaya, Majority Leader , Kwara state House of Assembly, Hon Oba Abdulkadir Magaji ,Director General of National Institute of Legislative and Democratic Studies , Professor Abubakar Olanrewaju Sulaiman, Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq’s Senior Special Assistant on Political Matters, Prince Abubakar Sulaiman, aka Sai Kayi, Mr Dele Belgore SAN, former Rep Moshood Mustapha, former Rep Ahmad Ali, former FCC Chairman, Prof Shuaib Oba Abdulraheem, Alhaji Yahaya Seriki, Alhaji Ladi Hassan, Dr Alimi Abdulrazaq, Hon Bamidele Aluko, Ciroma of Ilorin Emirate, Barrister Abubakar Bature Sulu-Gambari SAN, and Alhaji Lukman Mustapha.
