‘Our visit to Kebbi today is a direct result of the governor’s productive visit to Indonesia.

Indonesia is partnering with Kebbi to establish an Insemination Centre equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to enhance livestock development, train 50 professionals, and boost agricultural production.

This initiative will not only improve meat and milk production but also build the capacity of Kebbi’s workforce’ he said.

Dr. Usra emphasized Indonesia’s three decades of expertise in high-quality frozen semen production, adding that this collaboration aims to ensure sustainable economic growth and agricultural prosperity for Kebbi State.

In his remarks, Alhaji Umar Abubakar Tafida, who stood in for Governor Nasir Idris, lauded the Ambassador’s visist while restating  Kebbi State’s readiness to support and implement the bilateral initiatives.

‘This visit underscores the results of Governor Nasir Idris’ strategic efforts to attract investments that enhance the well-being of our people.

Kebbi’s reputation as a leader in livestock production in Nigeria will be further strengthened by this partnership. The artificial insemination and embryo transfer programs will benefit not just Kebbi but the entire nation’ he said.

The Deputy Governor also acknowledged Indonesia’s donation of frozen semen for the programme and emphasized the state’s fertile land and extensive farming potential, recognizing Kebbi’s leading role in rice and wheat production in Nigeria.
