Installation Of Solar Streetlights Begins In Ikire As Senator Lere Oyewumi Emphasizes Need To Protect Public Property

As the installation of solar streetlights begin in Ikire , Irewole local government, Osun state,   the Deputy Minority Leader of the Senate, Senator Kamorudeen Lere Oyewumi, who facilitated the project,  has expressed the need for citizens to consider public property as ‘their own’ and protect them.

 A statement made available to  Team@orientactualmags.com on Friday noted that the project, when completed, would make streets in the town bright at night, enhance social and economic activities, and reduce crime in the town.

 The installation of the solar streetlights has begun on Islamiyah Road, Oke Ada, and the Jolaiya area of Ikire.

Senator Lere Oyewumi has urged community leaders and residents to take ownership of the streetlights and other government infrastructure and prevent people from vandalizing them. He added that the project and other numerous ones he had facilitated would help to enhance the quality of lives of the people and should therefore not be destroyed.

The federal lawmaker, who represents Osun West, has also assured the people of the senatorial district of maximum cooperation and support that would make the district witness even development and record economic and security prosperity-Team@orientactualmags.com
