International Girl Child Day 2023 : Kwara Govt Committed To Building  Better Future For Girl Child- Abosede  Buraimoh

As female children in Kwara state joined others across the world to celebrate the 2023   International Day of the Girl Child on Wednesday,  October 11 , 2023, the state Government has promised continued support for the girl child while also promising to protect them and ensure that they have a better and happy future.

A statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com  by Saad Hamdalat Temitope, who is the Press Secretary, Ministry of Women Affairs, noted that the state Commissioner for Women Affairs, Hon. Abosede Olaitan Buraimoh   said this while talking to journalists in Ilorin on Wednesday.

The commissioner, the statement added, commended Governor  AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for improving the lives of women and girls in the state.

She also  thanked  the Kwara state Chief Executive for  his support for women in the state while calling him the most gender -friendly governor in the country.

‘Governor AbdulRazaq is very passionate about the welfare of women, especially the girl child, widows and the less- privileged. He has been doing great things for women in the state. Women in the state have never had it this good in the history of the state. This is the first time in the country that you will see a governor who gives women special recognition’ she said.

The 2023  International Day of the Girl Child had as its  theme ‘Invest in Girls’ Right: Our

Leadership, Our wellbeing’. 

‘The International Day of the Girl Child  focuses on the importance of girl child education and their rights; it also promotes gender equality.   The global community is urged to move beyond affirming commitment and really invest boldly in the action needed to make changes that could empower the female children.

On this occasion of the International Day of the Girl Child, we need to come together and make this world a better place for all to live.
