
Kebbi State students on Sunday thanked Governor Nasir Idris for providing 100% scholarships for students in the state to acquire knowledge from primary to tertiary levels.
A statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Mr Yahaya Sarki noted that Special Adviser on Student Matters, Muhammad Muhammad Majo made this submission on Sunday.
He had done this to mark the 2024 International Students’ Day which is a celebration of multiculturalism, diversity and cooperation among students across the globe.
‘We are happy about the commitment of incumbent administration to the provision of free and accessible education to students and seekers of knowledge.
The provision of free education has relieved families of financial burden.
With the prevalence of security, development of education infrastructure, provision of instructional materials, construction of good rural and urban roads, students have been provided with the necessary conducive atmosphere for learning to study without fear or distraction’ he said.
Muhammad Majo added that under Comrade Dr Nasir Idris, the Kauran Gwandu’s leadership, the implementation of 100 percent payment of scholarship to students of the state has relieved parents of the financial burden of education.
‘This effort has empowered students to pursue their dreams without limitations’ he averred.
