IPU Holds Reception In Honour Of Senator Oyewumi ,Adeyemi, Oyebamji, Inaolaji In Ikire

The Ikire Progressive Union (IPU), has held a Grand Civic Reception in honour of four top political figures, who are indigenes of the ancient town.
The Deputy Minority Leader of the Nigerian Senate, Senator (Akogun) Lere Oyewumi, Commissioner for Energy, Osun state, Hon Adeyemo Festus Ademola, a member of Osun state House of Assembly, Hon Abiola Ibrahim Inaolaji, and Alhaji Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji , who is the C.E.O/MD of NIWA, are all indigenes of Ikire, Irewole local government, Osun state.
The reception was held in recognition of their laudable contributions and selfless service to the town, Osun state and the nation as a whole.
A statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com noted that the event which was held at the Ikire Town Hall, Ikire was a rare bipartisan gathering .
Giving his speech, former Commissioner For Finance, who is currently the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria Inland Waterways Authority , Alhaji Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, described Senator (Akogun) Lere Oyewumi as a good man who deserves encomium and celebration from the people of Ikire , Osun West, and Osun state in general, adding that he has distinguished himself and identified the purpose for which he was elected.
In addition to his notable contribution to improving the security and welfare of his people,Oyebamiji urged the people of Ikire to cherish the rare opportunity, while praising the senator’s exceptional leadership qualities .
He emphasized that Sen. Lere Oyewumi’s achievements are numerous while noting that his actions have started speaking volumes for the progress and development of Ikire and Osun West Senatorial District as a whole.
In his remarks, Senator Lere Oyewumi said he was deeply humbled by the civic reception and acknowledged IPU’s commitment to advancing Ikire while emphasizing the deliberate efforts of the present administration to restore vital infrastructure.
‘I am proud to assert that my leadership philosophy revolves around the idea that we can only impact well when we partner, irrespective of the parties that we belong to and I want to declare to my people that the Chief Executive Officer of Nigeria Inland Waterways Authority Mr. Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji is my partner in the development of the town, our state and the nation in general.
If you do have your investment sited somewhere else, this is the time to bring them down to our hometown (Ikire). Ikire is open to business, foreign investors are welcome. Gone are the days when leaders would travel abroad and tell you they are looking for foreign investments. My message to all of us is that we must fix our home and when we fix our home, other people will come and invest’ the senator said.
The statement noted that other personalities, and various government officials in their speeches , also hailed Sen Oyewumi’s contribution to the community.
