ISBON Holds Thanksgiving Prayer In Honour Of Kwara Assembly Member-elect, Maryam Aladi, In Abuja
The Islamic Brotherhood of Nigeria (ISBON), has held a thanksgiving prayer service in honour of Hon Mariam Yusuf Aladi in Abuja.
Hon Mariam Aladi, a newly elected member of the Kwara state House of Assembly, is the National Naibal Amirah of the Islamic organization.
Islamic clerics and other attendees of the thanksgiving prayer service, which was organized by the Women’s wing of ISBON, also commended Hon Mariam Aladi for her contribution to the growth and development of ISBON.
The National Amir of ISBON, Hon. Justice Sulyman Abolaji Belgore noted that the Islamic organization, which was established in 1992 , organized the programme to celebrate with the Kwara state House of Assembly member-elect and congratulate her on her victory while also recognizing her contribution to the growth and development of the organization.
‘ISBON has been organizing special prayers for special and honoured illustrious members of the society and we would continue to do so for everyone who is beneficial to humanity and the growth of Islam and today’s programme won’t be an exception as we are here to celebrate with another exceptional member of our organization’ he said.
Also commending Hon Aladi for her contribution to the growth and development of the organization, Alhaji Masur Ayoade Ejide, who is the BOT Chairman of ISBON, said ‘today’s programme is thoughtful and on point to celebrate Hon. Maryam Yusuf for her landmark achievements in our Islamic group. Your contribution cannot be over emphasized, and the aim of the programme is to pray with Hon. Maryam Yusuf, celebrate with her and pray for her community and the country at large.
During the thanksgiving prayer service that was presided over by the National Amir and members of the mission board, the clerics prayed for the newly elected state lawmaker and wished her a successful tenure in the 10th Kwara state House of assembly.
They also described Hon. Maryam as an outstanding representative of the people of Ilorin South while expressing confidence that her constituents will enjoy quality representation.
The Chief missioner urged the member-elect to continue in the manner she has been representing her people and as directed by God describing her as a worthy example that other politicians and leaders should emulate in making desired impact on the people and humanity.
Giving her speech, Hon. Maryam Yusuf Aladi while appreciating ISBON leaders and members for the honour done to her, noted that she never expected that such eminent personalities could gather to pray for her.
‘I thank you all for attending this special event. I never expected that this kind of crowd would gather to honour me or that eminent people in our Islamic organization would be here today to pray for me. I am elated and I appreciate you all for the support’ she said.
