Jandor Announces Decision To Leave PDP, Cites Party’s Failure To Discipline Bode George, Other Disloyal Members

Jandor Announces Decision To Leave PDP, Cites Party’s Failure To Discipline Bode George, Other Disloyal Members

A young politician in Lagos State, Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran, who is popularly called  Jandor, has announced his decision to leave the nation’s leading opposition party, the PDP, citing betrayal, anti-party activities, and lack of discipline in the party.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Jandor , who was the convener of the movement of Lagos4Lagos, a movement under the APC before joining PDP, presided over a press conference in Lagos on Monday during which he disclosed that his decision came after months of reflection and consultations with his family, political associates, and supporters.

He accused PDP leaders at the state and national levels of undermining the collective efforts of genuine members who had worked tirelessly for the success of the party.

Jandor recalled how his campaign for the Lagos governorship in 2023 was met with resistance, not just from the ruling party but from within the PDP itself lameting that he was attacked six times during the  electioneering campaign without a single word from the party leadership condemning such an incident.

He also  claimed that Chief Olabode George, a  member of the Board of Trustees openly supported another party’s candidate, while the state chairman, Philip Aivoji, misled voters by falsely suggesting an alliance that never existed.

The state Deputy Governor, Mr Obafemi Hamzat had also later made a disclosure that several PDP leaders had secretly worked against their own party’s candidate.

Despite these revelations, the party, he noted, took no disciplinary action against those involved while Chief Olabode George was later appointed as Vice Chairman of the PDP’s Disciplinary Committee.

Having lost confidence in the party’s leadership and its commitment to internal democracy, Jandor said he could no longer remain in a system that encourages disloyalty.

While stating his commitment to advocating for a better Lagos, he did not however disclose his next political move but promised to continue engaging with stakeholders to determine the best way forward.

‘This is not the end. It is the beginning of a new chapter—one driven by sincerity, progress, and true service to the people’ he said-Team@orientactualmags.com  Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
