The Bobatunwase also apologized for not attending the event physically  noting that this was due to circumstances beyond his control while praising Oba David  Ajibola Omope’s leadership qualities.

‘ Kabiyesi, I deeply regret my absence at this epochal event. As you may recall, I visited Nigeria from my country of residence, and I stayed back at home for some weeks to reconnect with my roots. If I had been notified earlier about the series of events that have been planned to celebrate the100th birthday and 50th coronation anniversary of Your Highness, I would have rescheduled my departure so I could fully participate in all the celebrations. At the moment, I am back to my base and my work schedule is very tight. So, it is impossible for me to embark on another trip to Nigeria. Nevertheless, I have sent down my donation for the N50 million Palace Building Project.

Kabiyesi, thank you for fostering peace, unity and progress in our community. Ikotun- Ile is an amazing community. Although our town is small, it is a close- knit community and we all share a harmonious relationship under your able leadership. You are a monarch of high repute, and the entire Late Pa David Lawani Rotimi family is happy to be associated with you.

On this auspicious occasion, I pray that God will strengthen you and grant you the wisdom to continue to oversee the affairs of Ikotun Iwewe and promote unity in the entire surrounding communities of Odo-Owa. Please accept my kind wishes’ he said.
