Kabah-Ilorin Expressway Crash Leaves 8 Dead
The crash recorded in the Oke- Onigbin, axis of Kabah-Ilorin expressway on Saturday has left eight people dead.
Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) , Kwara state, Stephen Dawulung, confirmed the number of casualties in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by the Public Relation Officer of the sector , Busari Basambo, on Saturday.
‘A fatal road crash occurred on Friday evening, at Oke Onigbin, along Omuaran-Ilorin road, Irepodun Local Government , Kwara state, at 7:40 p.m.
The accident involved a Mack Trailer and a Mitsubishi bus’ the statement said.

Dawulung added that on receipt of the information of the road accident, the FRSC standby rescue team at Omuaran Unit Command was immediately mobilized to the accident scene for rescue operation.
‘Preliminary investigations by our men revealed that the Mitsubishi space wagon (en route to Ilorin) while overtaking a bus, collided with an oncoming Mack Trailer.
It resulted in the death of 8 persons on the spot, 1 male adult, 3 female adults, and four children, while six others sustained varying degrees of injuries’ he said.
Dawulung further noted that the victims were taken to Ajisafe Hospital, Omuaran for medical attention, while the eight corpses were deposited at the mortuary of Adeyemo Hospital, Omuaran.
