Kaduna Chief Suspended For Giving  Man  Who Was Accused Of Being A Gay 60 Strokes Of Cane

The Zazzau Emirate Council on Tuesday suspended  the  Marafan Yamman Zazzau, Alhaji Mustapha Adamu.

He was suspended for taking law into his hands and giving a man accused of being a homosexual sixty strokes of the cane in Zaria, Kaduna state.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned that a statement released by the Council’s Information and Communications Officer, Abdullahi Aliyu, said the indefinite suspension of the title holder, was with immediate effect.

Aliyu  added that  the Marafan Yamman Zazzau was suspended because he took   laws into his hands by  giving  Yusuf Yahaya (SABO) of Unguwan Magajiya Zaria City sixty strokes of the cane.

The statement warned that Zazzau Emirate would not condone any act that violates laws and orders from any traditional title holder in the community.

Traditional title holders were urged to always refer cases before them to the constituted authorities for proper adjudication rather than taking law into their hands.

The emirate assured the general public that it won’t take any act of injustice by traditional title holders against its subject lightly.

 The embattled chief, Mustapha Adamu, said he gave Yusuf Yahaya (SABO)   60 strokes of cane   because he caught him having carnal knowledge with a ‘small boy’ near his residence while expressing dismay over the hasty decision taken by the Emirate council-Team@orientactualmags.com
