Kano-Based Woman Marries Daughter’s Suitor After Divorcing Husband

Strange things are actually happening and this time around, the location is Rano Local Government, Kano state and the dramatis personae are Malama Khadija, her daughter; Aisha  and her suitor.

 Team@orientactualmags.com learned Malama Khadija had not only walked away from her marriage but had also made Aisha’s suitor her new husband.

Khadijah’s relatives  had accused the Hisbah Commandant in Rano LGA of marrying off their daughter without their consent and that they didn’t even know  her whereabouts.

The controversial woman has however said she is safe, hale and hearty and that she is living happily with her new husband.

Khadijah explained that after realizing that her daughter has decided not to marry the man in question any longer, she had reasoned that both of them should not lose him and so she decided to contact his family, arguing that she is as beautiful as her daughter.

 ‘I didn’t do this ignorantly. I contacted clerics and they said it is not prohibited. When I contacted him, he agreed, but my parents and relatives refused to carry out the marriage rites. That was why I decided to go to Hisbah and we are happily married now’ she said.

Malama Khadija’s uncle, Abdullahi Musa Rano, however said they  had refused to allow her  marry the man because she  had deliberately dissolved her first marriage in order to marry her daughter’s suitor who cannot be considered qualified to be her husband.

‘She mounted pressure on her husband to divorce her just to marry the man. We can’t do this shameful thing in our family which was why we refused to join them together in marriage. We are not happy with what Hisbah did and we are reporting them to government, they should bring our daughter to us. We want the general commandant and the state government to look into the matter’ he submitted.
