Kano New Police Chief Says He Has No Blood Ties With Aminu Bayero
The new head of the Kano state police command, Salman Garba, has described rumours that he has blood ties with one of the two people laying claim to the Kano throne, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero as untrue while submitting that he is in Kano state to serve everyone regardless of religion, ethnicity, or colour.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the police commissioner said this during his maiden press briefing at the state police headquarters , Bompai, Kano on Wednesday.
The new police chief has also promised to ensure peace and security of lives and property in the state.
‘The security of life and property is our primary concern, and we will work according to the provisions of the law.
We have already developed an action plan that revolves around collaborative policing after carefully studying the trend of the crime pattern’ he submitted while expressing his readiness to tackle thuggery (Daba) in the state.
‘I am first and foremost a Nigerian, and I am here to serve Nigerians. The news of me belonging to the same family as Bayero is news to me; this is the first time I am hearing it. For me, I will do my best for Kano’ he added.
Garba also assured the public of his commitment to ensuring effective security measures in the state by getting committed to ‘creating a safer and more secure environment where residents can thrive, businesses can flourish and visitors can feel welcomed to the state’.
