Katsina Varsity Student, Others Pray Over 2027 Presidential Election, Want President Tinubu To Retain Shettima As VP

Ahead of the 2027 presidential election, a student at the Department of Political Science, Al-Qalam University, Katsina, Mohammed Yakubu, has gathered like-minded individuals together to pray over the election in question and what they had as ‘prayer point’ for the seven-day prayer is that President Bola Tinubu should present Vice President Kashim Shettima as his running mate like he did in 2023.

 Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the 7-day prayer, which ended on Friday, was held at Maranta Sheikh Abba Abu, Kofar Kwaya, Katsina, and it had mostly young clerics as participants.

‘Shettima has been my role model and seeing how he has helped His Excellency, President Bola Tinubu in running the affairs of our great country, they all deserve our prayers.

I want to call on the young people in Nigeria to engage in praying for our leaders, especially now that insecurity is bedeviling some parts of the country. We should desist from saying negative words or cursing them’ Yakubu said.

The 19-year–old varsity student added that he was inspired by Shettima’s leadership style and his contribution to young people and farmers while urging Nigerians, especially  the young people, to pray for their leaders instead of criticizing them.

 ‘Having studied His Excellency, Vice President Kashim Shettima’s leadership styles especially in building us, the young people and farmers like my father, to thrive, informed my decision to call for Islamic clerics who are mostly young people like me to pray for his success politically.
