Kebbi Imams Pray For Gov Nasir Idris, Call Him ‘Pious Leader’
Imams from various mosques and Islamic sects in Kebbi State have continued to offer fervent prayers for the success of the Governor Nasir Idris administration while also seeking divine guidance for the governor.
In their separate speeches, the clerics praised Governor Idris’ leadership calling him a pious, compassionate leader who upholds justice, fairness, and equity.

A statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Mr Yahaya Sarki noted that the messages of goodwill were conveyed to Idris through the monitoring team of the Ministry of Religious Affairs that visited several mosques in Birnin Kebbi Local Government Area on Thursday to assess ongoing rehabilitation projects.
The inspection team was led by the Commissioner for Religious Affairs, Arc. Muhammad Sani Aliyu, and he was accompanied by the Special Adviser on Religious Affairs, Engr. Imran Usman, and the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Muhammad Bala Tilli.
The team inspected the Imam Malik Mosque, Masallacin Mallam Sani Gurmu, Yamman ga Gidansu Gwamna Mosque, Mallam Dan-Mallam Mosque, Bani-Mairuwa Village Mosque, Masallacin Mallam Ibrahim Marigyayi, ‘Yar Gidare Mosque, School for Special Needs Mosque, and Masjid Umar bin Khattab, among others.
Imams and mosque committee members expressed gratitude for the governor’s commitment to religious values, noting that his administration’s mosque rehabilitation initiative is unprecedented in the state’s history.
‘Many of the mosques were in a state of disrepair, with leaking roofs and uncompleted structures. Despite our appeals to previous administrations, nothing was done until Governor Idris came in and transformed them magnificently.
We are delighted to have a man of God as our governor. May Almighty Allah continue to protect, guide, and grant him abundant wisdom in leading our state’ they submitted.
Alhaji Muhammad Sani Aliyu thanked the clerics for their support and encouraged them to sustain prayers for the administration’s success in this term and beyond.
Engr. Imran Usman highlighted the governor’s commitment to religion and societal well-being, stating that the Kauran Gwandu 100 Mosques Project was launched to rehabilitate 100 mosques across the state.
‘Some mosques have been completed, while others are nearing completion. The governor directed the installation of solar power, tiles, POP ceilings, new carpets, fans, and quality roofing to give the places of worship a modern facelift’ he explained.
