Kebbi NUJ Chairman, Hamza Zuru, Dies In Birni Kebbi…Gov Idris Offers Condolences

Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Kebbi state council, Alhaji Hamza Galadima Zuru, is dead.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the deceased journalist died at the Federal Medical Center, Birnin Kebbi in the early hours of Thursday after a short illness.

Kebbi state governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, the Kauran Gwandu, has offered his condolences noting that he received with deep shock the sad news of Hamza’s passing.
The governor sent his condolences to the Zuru family , the entire journalists in the state and the NUJ, while describing Hamzah’s death as a colossal loss to the state.
Hamzah’s death has according to him created a wide vacuum in journalism that would be difficult to fill.
Dr.Idris described the deceased journalist as a core professional, and a consummate and diligent person.
The late NUJ Chairman, he noted, would be remembered for a myriad of legacies he has left as a journalist and as a leader.
He prayed Allah to forgive his shortcomings and admit him into Aljannar Firdaus.
Governor Nasir Idris also beseeched Allah to give the family of the deceased journalist the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
Hamza Galadima Zuru , who died at 52, is survived by 3 wives and 10 children.
Salatul Janazah ( Islamic funeral prayer) had since been held for him at the FMC Birnin Kebbi which was attended by the state Head of Service, Alhaji Sufyanu Garba Bena, Commissioner of Information and Culture, Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed Birnin, some permanent secretaries, Special Advisers, General Manager of Kebbi state Television Service, Alhaji Aminu Sani Kamba, journalists and family members- Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
