Kebbi Youths Hold ‘Solidarity Rally’ In Birni Kebbi, Endorse Gov Idris For Second Term

In a show of unwavering support for the Governor Nasir Idris administration, over one million youths from across Kebbi State gathered in Birni Kebbi on Wednesday for a solidarity rally called ‘One Million Youth March for Kaura’.
A statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Mr Yahaya Saraki noted that those who participated in the rally organized to demonstrate support for Governor Nasir Idris’ second term bid in 2027, took off from Haliru Abdu Stadium and later gathered at the Government House, where the governor received the enthusiastic crowd.

Youths in branded T-shirts and caps with inscriptions such as ‘One Million for Kaura’ chanted slogans and sang songs to express their solidarity with the governor.
They were led by Alhaji Kabiru Sani Giant, the governor’s Special Adviser on Power and Politics, Engr. Ahmed Faruk Umar, Managing Director of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), and other youth group leaders.
Governor Nasir Idris, visibly delighted by the massive turnout, expressed his gratitude to the youths for their overwhelming support.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to even development of Kebbi State, promising to prioritize youth empowerment and economic growth in the coming years.
‘In 2025, my focus will be on empowering youths and sustaining the infrastructural development we have achieved. Iam committed to financially supporting groups and associations to foster economic empowerment.
The size of this crowd is a testament to your love for me and our administration. It shows that our journey is blessed, and I deeply appreciate your support.
Our administration has transformed Birnin Kebbi into a modern, cosmopolitan city, achieving significant progress in infrastructure. What remains now is to channel efforts toward economic empowerment to improve the quality of life for our people’ he assured.
Engr. Abdullahi Umar Muslim, the Commissioner for Works, highlighted Governor Idris’ accomplishments, particularly in infrastructural development, including the construction of roads, a new Secretariat Complex, and the transformation of Birnin Kebbi.
‘Birnin Kebbi is now a ‘small London,’ thanks to the visionary leadership of Governor Nasir Idris’ he said.
Alhaji Kabiru Sani Giant commended the Governor’s exceptional performance which has according to him surpassed expectations.
